Hidden Chords brings together two parallel but related visions of spirituality and oneness expressed in the artwork of Lesley Cottle and Corinne Randall.
About
Hidden Chords brings together two parallel but related visions of spirituality and oneness expressed in the artwork of Lesley Cottle and Corinne Randall.
Corinne Randall’s inspiration started with the compilation of a series of books on spiritual themes, each one related to a specific colour. The ideas developed in these books are then refracted out into a series of large abstract panels which relish the joy of purely visual qualities; mark making techniques, broad and detailed brush strokes and resonating colour hues.
Lesley Cottle is influenced by he background in psychotherapy and spirituality. In her artwork she creates visual reminders of the endless journey of the human spirit towards its most authentic self. Her paintings are patchwork inspirations drawn from diverse eras, cultures and spiritual traditions which search for competition in compositions of unity and connection.
You are invited to the Preview night with refreshments and artists talk on Tuesday 17th October 6:30 – 9pm
The exhibition will be open 17th – 22nd October 12 – 6pm
The underlying motivation for this exhibition is a celebration of the bicentenary of the birthday of Bahá’u’lláh, the founder of the Bahá’i Faith. You are therefore also very warmly invited to attend a Holy Day celebration which will be held in the gallery space, with a musical devotional and dramatic presentation on 20th October at 7.30pm
