Hidden Agenda is a Crafts Council Collection exhibition, curated in partnership with Berwick Visual Arts and artist Doug Jones.
About
The exhibition features works by makers and designers who use craft as a platform for social comment and provocation, and includes an early work by Grayson Perry, Mad Kid's Bedroom Wall, which is glazed and embossed in multiple and conflicting layers.Depicting a teenager's bedroom, the layers of imagery evoke a sense of menace, telling the story of a country adolescent boy in isolation.
Hidden Agenda includes objects from the Crafts Council Collection by makers Jane Atfield, Stephen Dixon, Michael Marriott, Angela O'Kelly, Grayson Perry, Paul Scott, Lynn Setterington, Audrey Walker, Michele Walker and Lois Walpole alongside new work by Doug Jones.
