Heterotopia Provocation is a collaborative and interdisciplinary art project.

About

Throughout 3 days in June a newly born space in Dalston, East London will be transformed in an arena for experimentation and collaboration. More than 30 artists from different disciplines will take over the space to create a 'Heterotopia', the Foucauldian concept of a space in between spaces where different realities cross over in a non-hegemonic way. Every artwork displayed will be consequences of collaborative creative processes between 2 or more artists. The space will bring together international groups of artists and diverse modes of expression and it will engage with the local area and its inhabitants. Experimental music, performances and critical discussion will take place throughout the duration of the exhibition to explore and contextualise the topic of heterotopia. Heterotopia is a Provocation towards the art world and a celebration of interactivity. curated by Alyssa Ueno, Attilia Fattori, Lauren Lapidge LIVE MUSIC: Stand Up Against the Heart Crime, Dan Freeman, Eliza Shaddad, The Kapi Rock Orkestra, Teenage Hand Model, James P Honey, and much more TBC.
