Hailing from Berlin, Karl Heinz Jeron & Stefan Riebel are here to teach you the art of building electronic musical instruments. Their Heterodyne Signal Digesters consist of several oscillators to generate a range of tones and an old remote control to create the rhythm.

About

Everybody is welcome to join in. No prior knowledge or experience is needed.
Karl & Stefan will explain how to craft a circuit and show you how to get a variety of sounds out of your creations. The workshop will culminate in an orchestral performance on Saturday night using your sound machines to produce a polyphony of beats.

The workshop takes it ethos from the up-cycling movement: Old Remote Controls become Mini-Synths. Up-cycling transforms a cast-off item into something valuable, is gratifying for the DIY maker and is smart for the environment.

We will provide all needed components to get started, but participants should bring their own old remote control.

Booking essential! Early bird price of £15 before the end of August, £20 thereafter.
