Focusing on the representation of male beauty through the ages, Henry Miller Fine Art's Spring 2019 exhibition will feature a wide range of artworks from the 17th Century to the present day.

About

Henry Miller Fine Art is back at the Coningsby Gallery in Fitzrovia from 20 May to 1 June with an exhibition featuring selected works from his unique collection celebrating the male form through the ages.

Including paintings, drawings, prints and photographs from the 17thCentury to the present day, the collection focuses exclusively on the male form and features works by established names alongside lesser known artists. Unbound by any particular time period or style, the collection is curated thematically around representations of male beauty, enabling it to display older pieces alongside more contemporary works.

Amongst many other works, the exhibition includes rarely seen 1970’s paintings by the late Patrick Hennessy as well as a series of nudes by contemporary Scottish painter Ian Cook and a rare series of male nudes from the 1920’s, 30’s and 40’s by American photographer Edwin F. Townsend.
