On 18th September, 7-10pm, we're opening a really exciting exhibition. A show from two well-known Scottish Graffiti artists and noteable pioneers who were among the very first in Scotland to begin painting graffiti artwork in the 1980s. Within their first collaborative exhibition, they plan to take over Recoat by covering the walls and windows with discarded architectural drawings and blueprints, that will act as a canvas for a mural and a backdrop to a series of paintings, drawings and prints. Elph and Lyken met 16 years ago, and are now close friends, sharing a mutual appreciation of movies, comic books and general geekery. Now that they are formalising their collobarotive artistic relationship there is no doubt that the two artists will create something amazing at Recoat.
