Featuring up to 30 of the UK's finest designer/maker talent - Handmade In Highgate is the designer/maker/art fair held at the Highgate Literary and Scientific Institution.
About
Now in its 8th year, Handmade In Highgate are the designer/maker fairs in Highgate Village.
The focus of the fair is to provide an opportunity to meet and buy from some of the UK’s brightest and best designer maker talent. Every effort is made to present a group of artists working in different disciplines and price ranges. The thing that binds them is their devotion to their craft.
Handmade In Highgate is held in the beautiful Highgate Literary & Scientific Institution (HLSI). Founded in 1839 the HLSI is a vibrant cultural and creative centre which promotes science, literature and the arts through a gallery space (Highgate Gallery) a historic library, lectures, classes and concerts. Handmade In Highgate occupies the Highgate Gallery and the Members Room. HLSI is generally closed to non-members, the fair offers visitors the opportunity to see, meet and buy from the makers and visit the building. This year each fair will feature a book sale in the historic library.
During the fair entrance is free and everyone is welcome.
In an effort to offer something for everyone we include our regular exhibitors. Rotherview Nurseries – the multiple RHS gold medal award winning nursery and the brilliant artisan maker/baker the Two Shuks.
The Spring Fair will feature an outstanding line up.
