The Chambers Gallery is proud to present its second exhibition of works by the Ukrainian painter Grygoriy Shyshko (1923-1994). He was a recognised official artist, member of the Artists Union of the USSR and Professor at the Kryvoyj Rih Pedagogical Institute. There is a permanent exhibition of his paintings in Kryvyj Rih Museum and his works are in museums in the Ukraine and Russia and in private collections all over the world. Shyshko is best known for his industrial landscapes ' the views of the mines, steelworks and construction sites in and around Kryvyj Rih, the mining town where he lived for most of his life.
