Dacia Manto’s solo show at Galleria Marcolini provides the first attempt to comprehensively reconstruct a miniscule but meaningful portion of land, the Gorgoscuro, whose life-forms the artist investigates through the predominant use of crayon on paper. “Gorgoscuro is the act of drawing itself”, wrote the artist, “a place you can get lost in; a rim that suddenly opens wide; a twilight where images take shape, merging into each other”. During the vernissage, Dacia Manto’s work will be presented by Stefano Mazzotti (Director of the Natural History Museum of Ferrara) and Massimo Pulini (Director of the Rimini Biennial of Drawing and Councilor for the Arts in the municipality of Rimini).
