In the exhibition "Dreams and Visions" artists from two different generations meet.

About

Piero Fogliati, born in Canelli / Asti (1930 to 2016), as well as the Zurich artist pair Glaser / Kunz, Daniel Glaser (1968) and Madgalena Kunz (1972), create projections and space installations that the viewer can hardly escape. Both invite the spectator to dive into a world of senses and perceptions, which makes the distinction between reality and illusion difficult.
Fogliati gained international fame on the XLII. Biennale di Venezia in 1986, with "Edicola delle Apparizioni" (the kiosk of phenomena), an empty space in which individual images appear from the void before the eyes of the spectators and disappear again. The exploration of light and its phenomena or noises were the central themes of his work, and he wanted to create a "Città Fantastica" in which the sounds, light and water currents become aesthetic elements. In the exhibition "Dreams and Visions" various of his now museal optical and acoustic works can be experienced.
The artist duo Glaser / Kunz was invited to Fogliati's works to present their visions and perceptions. Both Zurich artists have become acquainted with their "cinematographic sculptures", a combination of sculpture, film and space installation. At first, the visitor does not know whether he is attending a live performance or a production with projections. Glaser / Kunz tell stories with their picture worlds, Speak of longing or dreaming.

Both Fogliati and Glaser / Kunz play with reality and seduce the visitors to embrace new worlds, whereby it often remains unclear whether they exist at all or are pure illusions.
