The second most important focus of the Essl Collection, after Austrian art post-1945, lies on German artists. Unprecedented in Austria in scope and depth, this comprehensive exhibition of German art after 1960 provides unique insights. Pivotal representatives of painting and sculpture are documented with wide-ranging sets of works and provide a remarkable impression of the vital artistic life in our neighbouring country.
