George Hardy creates stunning large-scale portraits using the most humble of media; black biro on paper. George carefully photographs his subjects, before working from these images to render every hair, wrinkle and blemish of his sitters in breathtaking detail.
Despite his clinical process, his works are far from cheap and cheerful. His simple apparatus and 'as it is' approach do nothing to diminish the character of his subjects, creating stunning drawings full of character and humanity.
Visit the exhibition before 5 July to get the chance of being featured in one of George's drawings, to be produced in the gallery in the final week of the exhibition.
