Freeze by Rachel Ducker and Rachel Owen

The O3 Gallery is delighted to announce a forthcoming collaborative exhibition showcasing new work by wire sculptor Rachel Ducker and printmaker Rachel Owen. Both artists manipulate their chosen media to create work which focuses on the capture of a single instant; a freeze-frame of a fleeting moment in time. Ducker presents her dynamic wire figures as if frozen in the midst of energetic movement, whilst screen-printer Owen captures transient moments in her photographic images of people and places from around the world. The dichotomy between the impermanence of lived moments and the tangible and durable nature of the work they produce forms the epicentre of both artists' practice.
