Yasmine Eid-Sabbagh discusses her Vevey International Photography Award winning exhibition and book project, which traces the lives of four Palestinian-Lebanese sisters exiled in different places across the globe.
About
Based on family photographs and recorded interviews, the work creates semi-fictional narratives, producing both actual and imagined events, documentary and myth.
Far from being a factual or historical portrait of the four women, Possible and Imaginary Livesis attempted to convey the eccentricities and the imagination of these women so as to give their imaginings the same status as reality.
