Using a wide range of media, Fridfinnsson has produced a conceptually oriented oeuvre devoted to the poetry of natural and technical phenomena.
About
His house project spans more than four decades. He began in 1974 with an ‘inside-out house’ in the midst of Iceland’s barren untouched landscape. In the intervening decades he has subjected the structure to increasing degrees of abstraction in different venues. At a remote, seemingly forgotten site on the town periphery he is now presenting the fourth house as a virtually dematerialized sculpture—a skeletal framework made of highly polished stainless steel.
