Foundation Masterclass Sharon Beavan & Gethin Evans Studio 1 plus Gallery visits, 10am-5pm Book now A two week intensive course led by Gethin Evans and Sharon Beavan — presenting a unique opportunity to work with these tutors who previously ran the Foundation Course at Byam Shaw. This course is aimed at young artists heading to art school but is open to all ages from 15 — 19 years. The course will focus on drawing and painting with an emphasis on developing the student's skills and abilities and preparing a portfolio for Foundation or Degree applications. The intention of the course is for students to progress from one week to the next, however, students unable to commit to both weeks will be able to book on to either Part One or Part Two. The two weeks involves the following: ”¢Daily drawing sessions. ”¢Painting and drawing from the model and from source material ”¢Investigation of a range of drawing, painting and mixed media languages ”¢Discussion and group critiques ”¢The content and organization of Journals and sketchbooks ”¢Advice on the preparation and presentation of a portfolio for application ”¢Advice on personal statement for application ”¢Gallery and Museum visits Cost: £350 Two Week Course OR Cost: £200 Week One OR Week Two only
