About
Suzy Taylor is a self-taught paper cutting artist, working from her home in Hertfordshire. Suzy took up the art of paper cutting in 2008 and has since created many unique and intricate art works all cut from a single piece of paper using just a cutting mat and a craft knife.Suzy is strongly influenced by American and European folk art and her work often reflects themes of natural and rural life.
Having tried a number of different art mediums to some success, Suzy came to paper cutting in 2008 and immediately felt she had found her niche. Inspired initially by American folk artists Suzy also draws inspiration from modern paper cutting artists, all who have very different styles, but it was the possibilities that arose from working simply with a piece of paper and a craft knife that she finds so appealing.
This exhibition promises a beautiful display of Suzy's work. Suzy will also be appearing in the gallery to demonstrate how she creates her artworks from 12pm - 2pm on Tuesday 28 August, so pop in to see her in action!
Framed original artworks will all be for sale, as well as prints and greetings cards.
