Explore the possibilities of willow sculpture-making with Leilah Vyner in this special Christmas workshop.

During this one-day workshop you will learn the technique of weaving willow, working to construct free-standing animal sculptures. Willow weaving is a fascinating and environmentally sustainable sculptural process, each sculpture is made purely from willow with no metal frame or support structures. By the end of the session you will have constructed a festive animal approximately 4ft high for you to take home and decorate.

This workshop includes all your materials as well as a mince pie and a glass of mulled wine or hot chocolate.

Leilah Vyner runs Dragon Willow, an environmentally minded green themed business, it aims to encourage everyone to try traditional countryside crafts and enjoy the natural environment. Based in North Yorkshire, Dragon Willow make willow sculptures, baskets and garden structures, greenwood products and run workshops for all abilities in all things that have a green ethos.
