Join us at for a free, informal introduction and discussion of our exhibition Realism in Rawiya: Photographic Stories from the Middle East.
About
Sophie Powell, Learning Manager and Angela Sheard, Programme Co-ordinator at Impressions Gallery, will present a relaxed introduction to the exhibition followed by an open and informal discussion.
Meaning ‘she who tells a story’ in Arabic, Rawiya is the first all female photographic collective to emerge from the Middle East. Rich with untold stories, Realism in Rawiya presents a thoughtful view of a region in flux, balancing its contradictions while reflecting on social and political issues and stereotypes.
Carry on the conversation downstairs in Forster’s Bistro and Deli, who have kindly offered 10% off all eat in meals for attendees of Feed Your Mind. Simply hand your voucher to your server when ordering.
Free event, no booking required.
