About

Falling Water, a film by Jacqueline Butler, contemplates the mythology of Scottish landscapes. It charts a yearning to return to a homeland that exists solely through distant childhood memories and local folklore. Falling water/water-falling refers to a place of no particular location at no particular given moment. Time and space are elusive, there is a suggestion of something intangible, which takes the viewer to a liminal space.
