FAIRCHARM FAIR - Art and Craft Fair

Creekside Artists have organised an art and craft fair during the first weekend in December, to coincide with Open Studio events happening all along Creekside. The purpose of the project is to raise the profile of visual arts and crafts in Deptford and to provide an opportunity for artists to showcase and sell their work. It is also a seasonal opportunity for members of the public to buy direct from local artists and designers. Over 30 artists will be setting out their stalls in a large space within Faircharm Trading Estate, Creekside, Deptford SE8 3DX. A wide selection of art and craft will be on show and for sale including paintings, drawings, prints, textiles, handmade books, corseted eveningwear, jewellery, recycled accessories and upcycled furniture. There will also be artist representatives from several arts organisations and charities including Creekside Artists and Cor Blimey Arts (artist-led cooperatives with studios based in Faircharm Trading Estate), Cooltan Arts (a charity promoting positive mental health & wellbeing through arts education) and London Youth Support Trust (a charity helping disadvantaged young people who were previously unemployed to build sustainable businesses). Faircharm Fair is open to the public on Saturday 4th December (11am-7pm) and Sunday 5th December (11am-5pm) Drawing activities, music and a pop-up café will add to the festive atmosphere, and Creekside Artists will be serving mulled wine in their studios throughout the weekend.
