This three day course will provide an introduction to textile screenprinting and to producing a repeat design for fashion or textile furnishings
About
We will learn how to put an image onto a screen and to print using inks suitable for textiles. We will experiment with layering colours and imagery and will be shown how to apply heat press techniques such as foiling, flocking and puff binder to embellish designs and introduce different surfaces and textures to the printed fabric.
Expect to print a length of fabric, typically 1 1/2 meters featuring your repeat design.
