JocJonJosch present a major new work, Existere, across Son Gallery and Testbed 1.

About

The Son Gallery exhibition engages with the challenges of representing performance art, with specific reference to the performances the collective are coordinating at Testbed 1. Rejecting the use of photography and video as a means of documentation, they will concentrate on how the experience of a performance continues to exist in the minds and memories of participants and viewers. The installation uses hand blown sheets of black glass which react to the spectators' breath and reveal details referencing the performances. Testbed1 performances: 16, 17 and 23 July. At Testbed1 the collective will work with up to 70 volunteers to create a living performance sculpture: a ‘shelter' made of naked human bodies. The ‘shelter' will be held together in an endured brace, before inevitably coming apart, pausing and reforming. The performances will take place on three separate days in July at Tesbed 1. Times will be scheduled. To book an entry ticket please register online at www.jocjonjosch.com. All entrance tickets are free. JocJonJosch is the artistic collaboration of Joc Marchington (b. London, England), Jonathan Brantschen (b. Visp, Switzerland and Joschi Herczeg (b. Basel, Switzerland). Existere performances are supported by the Anna Mahler International Association and the Swiss Cultural Fund in Britain.
