James Drinkwater is based in Newcastle, Australia. He is a painter, but has also explored areas as diverse as printmaking, ceramics, sculpture, assemblage and collage.
About
Drawing on his observations while living in Paris and inspired by the cities architecture, fashion and fabric, these intriguing neo expressionistic paintings portray the fleeting moments of daily life. With agitated brushwork he painted the endless grand boulevards, the narrow meandering streets and the elemental processes and realities of the everyday.
