About
Tutor: Rossen Daskalov, Drawing School Central faculty
Exploring the many possibilities of intaglio printing including etching, drypoint, engraving and aquatint, students will study both basic methods and more dynamic technical interpretations. Students will combine different etching techniques and experiment with monoprinting, multi-plate printing, and introduce colour through stencils. Translating a sketch onto a metal plate brings out different and new qualities in our drawing. The dialogue between drawing and printing will galvanise both mediums and inform the realization of individual themes. Suitable for all levels.
