Endings

About

The CAN team is looking forward to hosting an exhibition this spring that brings together the work of artists Rebecca Kunz (*1986, Bern) and Bastien Gachet (*1987, Geneva). Functioning as a collaboration, Endings is a single fiction created by the two artists whose mixed works do not allow to differentiate their authorship. Yet each uses his or her own language: Rebecca Kunz handles space and light as materials. She relies on the architecture of the building and appropriates the space and its lines of force. Bastien Gachet creates objects that oscillate between the ready-made and the technical prowess and makes us doubt the source or the history of these objects. The duo takes the viewer into a labyrinthine experience where each element, each space participates in the general narrative and gives a clue about what is happening; a subtle narration that questions the origin and limits of the work of art.
