A percentage of sales from this exhibiton will be donated to „Pass the Crayon“, a Berlin based nonprofit organization with the mission to facilitate the integration of refugee children using art as a way of growing their social and emotional skills. Works that do not get sold will be donated to a refugee shelter in Berlin (pending owners approval) , where they will be displayed in the common areas.
GuruShots is an online platform that connects and inspires photo enthusiasts from around the world. Gurushots provides themed challenges (in this case: "Emotional Photography“) in which photographers can participate with their pictures, at the same time vote for the pictures they like best and by receiving votes climb the platforms ranking system. GuruShots is using a combination of crowd-sourced curation and a special GuruShots expert panel to select the best images, which will be shown in the Berlin exhibition. After Mia photo fair in Milano and a colorful spring exhibition in Paris, Gurushots is returning to Berlin for the 2nd time with this exhibition.
