Emma Biggs and Matthew Collings: Pattern Industry

FAS is delighted to announce an exhibition of new collaborative works by Emma Biggs and Matthew Collings. This is their third show at the New Bond Street space and follows their highly celebrated York St. Mary's show in association with the Arts Council Yorkshire. ‘Pattern Industry' is a mixed media show in which the past and present are in a dynamic relationship. A mosaic made from thirteenth century pottery sherds; wallpaper printed with a traditional mosaic pattern, used when laying a field of colour behind a Roman mosaic; white paintings referencing a medieval window; the blank post-modern grid: these are among the elements of ‘Pattern Industry'.
