About
Emergency is a collective Fine Art Exhibition, which unifies themes focused on the dramatic and uncertain condition of which our society is defined today. Concerning a topic which is more than actual nowadays, our aim is to express personal attitude and support within the public openness and already revolted ‘awaken’ spirit of disapproval against injustices of any kind, in order to stand behind our individual and collective responsibility, and add one more, hopefully valuable ‘thread’, in the web of concerned adherents. Through Art. Because following common thoughts and beliefs would really unite us. And because every solution, every step, any missionary initiative towards change starts from the personal choice, awareness, and will to engage. Likewise, any disbalance in these beliefs and lack of support might be discouraging and would lead to the same inextricable consequences.
Eighteen artists with diverse Fine Art practice are asked to create an artwork based on a certain problematic field, which they find urgent for the society to take care of - Environment, Poverty, Inequality, Conflicts, etc. The exposition will include artworks in different media – Painting, Sculpture, Video, Installation, and will be followed by ‘In Conversation’ Program.
