In this new solo show, Ropewalk studio artist Ellie Collins combines painterly abstractions with sensory tactile additions that reference a narrative thread based on her own creative writing. Slipped Halo examines an abstract snapshot of events that form 45 minutes of an unremarkable day at school from the perspective of Jason, a nine year old boy with autism.
The short story in question, also entitled Slipped Halo was selected for an anthology called Fathom 08, published by Fathom Press (ISBN 978-0-9555950-2-8).
