I've seen this

People who have saved this event:

n this new series of 8 large scale monochrome drawings, Scherffig continues to explore the process of mutation in the urban landscape in a much larger format than previously exhibited. The monumental scale and subject matter of the works, (225 x 150cm) exude both a physical and emotional tension. As a scientist might examine cells under a microscope Scherffig takes just a narrow slice of city views of construction sites that are familiar to all of us, but on which we never dwell. With exquisite detail she presents us with what at first appears to be images of chaos and abandonment, but are actually immensely ordered, complex and a minutely examined details of the foundations of our urban environments; twisted iron girders and large steel pipes wooden beams, bricks and palettes, shapeless heaps of soil and clay.
