About
5-50 Gallery is proud to announce DRIFTERS OF THE DREAMPOND, Buket Savci's first solo show in NYC. The exhibition features vibrant oil paintings populated with people, toys, and inflatables. Her work probes questions of community, immigration, ephemerality, freedom, and happiness. The show will be on view from September 17th until October 23rd.
The desires for human connection, a sense of belonging, and freedom ensure Savci’s works are not solely expressions of her personal experience as an immigrant, but also representative of the universal desire for the aforementioned concepts. While celebrating togetherness and trust, her work also explores the definitions of freedom and happiness.
