About

Isabelle Bscher, the third-generation gallery owner of Galerie Gmurzynska, will present “Drawing Inspiration: A Century of Works on Paper,” at the gallery’s flagship NYC location (43 E 78th Street, NY, NY 10075). The show will put famed works on display from master artists including Pablo Picasso, Joan Miró, Marcel Duchamp, Zaha Hadid, Ed Ruscha, Robert Delaunay and Jean Arp.

Highlights in the show will include: An untitled Joan Miró from 1930 – the work is executed as a single, uninterrupted line and highlights the artists tremendous ability as a draughtsman,  Paysage (Maisons àBeaulieu) by Juan Gris from 1918 – the piece explores volumetric shapes and showcases the artist’s contribution to cubism and Office Building West Berlin by Zaha Hadid from 1986 – the renowned architect showcases her daring and unique signature style through this series. Additionally, the gallery even houses an exhibition designed by the late Hadad that was left in place to preserve her unique vision.

The exhibition is on display now through the end of the month. The no-charge exhibition is open to the public on Monday through Friday from 12 PM - 5 PM.  Appointments are also available by calling 212-535-5275.
