Dom Broadley
Biography

Born in 1971, Twickenham resident Dom spent a childhood in the UK, Germany and Switzerland, and has been greatly influenced ever since by the Visual Image, from action comics to sumptuous photobooks of the Alps.

Growing up within a skimming stone’s throw of the Thames has nurtured a lifelong love of its waterways and landscapes. And this has inspired the set you see here: ‘A View along the Thames: Landscapes, Light and Motion’. Featured are black and white, colour, and long exposures that capture an ethereal effect, transforming water into glazed surfaces or mist, and pulling clouds dramatically across the sky.

This is a collection of some of those wonderful locations, from Richmond to Twickenham to Hampton Court, that celebrate the Thames in and around its journey through West London.

Based in Teddington, Ruils empowers disabled children, adults, and the elderly to lead independent lives. They offer essential services like information, advice, advocacy, practical support, activities, and befriending.
