Derek Hare - Recent Paintings

This major exhibiion of paintings by Derek Hare will be a first for Wimbledon Fine Art. Derek Hare has spent time in Sweden, Norway and Germany,living for a time on the Baltic island of Fehmarn, painting and exhibiting widely. He visited Portugal in 1989.The powerful Atlantic breakers on the West Coast have inspired many paintings. Another journey to the Bahamian island of Abaco provided very contrasting material, the shallow iridescent water requiring a totally different pallet. He continually travels extensively in search for new material. Places visited include India, Morocco and the Seychelles, where he was commissioned to paint a collection of works to promote tourism in the islands. Always happiest on or near the ocean, Derek is a Fellow of the Royal Society of Arts and Wimbledon Fine Art are delighted to welcome him for this exhibition of recent paintings.
