This retrospective showcases the life’s-work of prolific local artist David Swithenbank alongside Bury Art Society’s annual exhibition.
About
David’s work has been inspired by his extensive travels in Europe, especially Norway, and through India depicting the wildlife, cultures and landscapes of his surroundings.The exhibition will be complemented by a wider project, ‘Bury Art Society: Archiving People and Place’, which sees the creation of a Bury Art Society Archive, including an interview with David Swithenbank and images of unseen work, plus an exciting programme of accompanying events celebrating the artist and the Society .
