âThe work I exhibit gives me a huge sense of accomplishment and fulfillment' put simply 'This is exactly what I should be doing.' Says Hall.
Upon finding a suitable location Hall will often wait days or weeks sometimes even months and years for improvements in the available light, taking into account calculations of the various trajectories of the sun as the earth orbits throughout the seasons as well as the lunar tidal rhythm. This purposeful approach can result in planning shoots years in advance.
âI want my work to represent my emotional attachment to the forces on our planet and my fleeting presence on it. I want to create work that has the intensity of rousing our emotions and connecting us with the beauty to be found in it. I want to create work that is as engaging now as it was the moment I pictured it.'
Hall produces archival prints on a wide format printer in sizes up to three meters. He uses customised profiles and all his work is printed personally, each image is signed and numbered in editions of 15 prices range from £2,000 - £8,000.
Hall's has been exhibited widely and his work is held in numerous private collections in seven countries.
