About

From shoot to bud to flower to fruit, spring is a time of renewal and fertility. Buds unfold and point towards the warm, sensual summer season ahead, a fleeting moment of sweet-scented fullness before decay. Darling Buds exhibition showcases ten local and international artists: Grace Adam, Sadie Hennessy, Matt Gee, Melissa Henderson, Sonja van Kerkhoff, Fiona Long, Sian Griffiths, Daniel Bourke, Rhiannon Hunter and Tom Stanley, working in sculpture, painting, printmaking and other media. A collective of artist-curators have selected striking and thought-provoking works exploring the season of May and what the cusp of spring encapsulates to the human spirit
