Center for Creative Industries Factory opens the exhibition "Concept" by Darya Krotov.

This is a visualization of some words and expressions arbitrarily chosen by the author. In the new project, the artist again glorifies the paper and its properties, and thus the “genius of the place”. For Krotov, who works so much with this material, as with the sculptural, symbolic was the choice of the site, historically relevant to the production of paper. The author also tries to experiment in order to visually show the visitor what the paper can turn into and what it can be besides its usual meanings.

Within the framework of his exhibition “Concepts”, Krotov creates something like illustrations, but in the format of sculpture.

About the author: Daria Krotova - a neuropsychologist, translator and artist - has been involved in art since 1997 and gained fame for her drawings and sculptural installations. If before the artist's favorite material was faience, now she works with paper. Daria is trying to rethink the functions of paper in the digital era, when printed and paper sources of information lose their former popularity.
