For the eleventh exhibition in DAM PROJECTS’ Sunday School series, London-based artist Matt Ager will present newly commissioned work.
About
Through a process of reworking and reframing, Agers’ sculptures and installations playfully examine the latent language of material form, and, in turn, our relationship with objects as signifiers of social aspirations and cultural tastes.
In recent works Ager has used materials such as glass, resin and MDF, together with objects such as woven kashmir rugs, and fake artichokes to create formal works which sit somewhere between sculpture and design.
Sunday School is DAM PROJECTS' year long programme featuring 6 solo shows by recent graduates and 6 exhibitions looking at emerging international art scenes.
