About
Daisy Parris’ work raises questions about identity politics as well as the limits of what it means to be human and how we identify as human. By using various formats such as portraiture, roomscapes, and text she focusses on identity struggles as well as the worry, guilt, numbness and violent encounters of everyday existence.Daisy Parris was born in Kent, England, in 1993. She graduated from Goldsmiths in 2014 and went onto do a residency at the HFBK in Hamburg. Her work has been exhibited in London, Germany, America, and Sweden and she has recently had solo shows at The Chopping Block Gallery and Blank100 in London and Las Palmas Project in Lisbon. She currently lives and works in South London.
