This aim of this experimental day course is to explore colour and composition and expand the boundaries of photo plate lithography
About
Kate the tutor says “Don’t come with any pre-conceived ideas, just make some marks, and see what happens!” Starting the day with spontaneous mark-making exercises on drafting film and tracing paper, we will then expose drawings onto photo-litho plates. These plates will then be cut up, re-arranged, inked up in colour and printed, to create colourful, collaborative, multi-layered collage prints. We will also experiment with printing onto thin Japanese paper, in order to make collaging paper to apply to other prints.
