Cut 2 On Fold is a Studio Seven project. It explores the process of making a garment, the journey from flat pattern, through calico toile and finally to the finished piece, ready to be worn and brought to life. Within that world of ‘making' seven dance solos unravel their secrets. Kristin McGuire returns to perform one of those solos: Measure twice, cut once. Working with textile artist Corinne Hockley, the stifled world of the 1950's ‘Domestic Goddess' is reinvented - as the layers of the costume build up, so does the dancers' growing sense of frustration…There will also be screenings of Studio Sevens new film ‘Cut 2 On Fold' which showcases all seven performances.
