Was ist Okkultur?
Der Begriff soll von Genesis Breyer P-Orridge in den 1980er Jahren geprägt worden sein und ist eine Kombination aus den Wörtern "okkult" und "Kultur" und beschreibt etwas, das sowohl kulturell als auch okkult/spirituell ist.
Okkultur kann auch als der Raum zwischen Kunst und Magie beschrieben werden. Der Raum, in dem sie verbunden ist, und Künstler*innen und Okkultist*innen, die in dieser Strömung arbeiten, zeigen oft Arbeiten, die irgendwie eine magische Handlung oder ein magisches System zeigen, zum Beispiel das Ergebnis eines magischen Rituals, das in ein Kunstwerk verwandelt wurde.

What is Occulture?
The term is said to be coined by Genesis Breyer P-Orridge in the 1980s and is a combination of the words “occult” and “culture”, describing something that is both cultural and occult/spiritual.
Occulture can also be described as the space in between Art and Magic, The space where it is connected and artists and occultists working in this current often display work that somehow showcases a magickal action or system, for example, a result of a magickal ritual, transformed into a work of art.
