Cross-cutting comprises films from The Sheffield Pavilion, new video work by Edinburgh-based artist Ewan Sinclair, a site-specific installation by Dundee-based artist Euan Taylor (Inefficient Solutions) and new video and photographic work by London-based collaboration Corinne Mynatt & Angus H Braithwaite. Launched this year at the 11th Istanbul Biennale, The Sheffield Pavilion presents specially commissioned and existing video works by eleven Sheffield-based artists. The construct of the ‘pavilion' — a temporary structure used for leisure, entertainment or exhibition — provides a framework for the project and the artists' contributions.
