About
Critical Narratives in Colour and Form (2) brings together works based in genres of modernism, abstraction and figuration, with particular reference to examples ofcontemporary painting and print making. This exhibition is part of a broader exploration of how received and inherited ideas, forms and narratives have been hybridised and developed.
This process has been principally undertaken by a new generation of 'post-conceptual' practitioners, many of whom have affiliations with educational institutions in Kent and the South East, either as artistic practitioners, writers or academics.
Further details of this artist collective can be found on the Plastic Propaganda website.
Exhibiting artists: John Butterworth, Mavernie Cunningham, William Henry, Mark Howland, Jon Law, Aya Mouri, Angus Pryor, Amanda Thesiger, Georgia Wright and Heidi Yssennagger.
