About:

Crits are open to artists of all fine art disciplines including sculpture, installation, painting, video, audio, performance, drawing and multimedia; and at all stages of career. For 2014-15 there will be 10 participants per session: 4 artists showing work and 6 additional artists participating in the discussion. The group size is limited to permit active involvement of all participants. Also new for 2014-15 a guest artist will chair each session. We use a 2 part format: In part 1 the showing artist is asked not to introduce their work or participate in the discussion, in part 2 the artist can ask questions to the group (if they wish). 30-45 minutes is spent on each work /Artist.

Selection criteria is minimum BA in Fine Art or equivalent, and evidence of current practice. Though aimed primarily at London based artists, artists who are able to travel to London are also welcome to apply. We have some budget for access requirements, please email if you would like to attend and have access requirements. We also have a small budget to assist with transport of work, please let us know in your application if you would incur costs transporting your work to the venue.

Please note, Crit Group is an artists working group, events are for artists and are not open to the public.

Crit Group is supported using public funding by Arts Council England.
