APT is pleased to announce the third Creekside OPEN contemporary art competition for visual artists who live or work in Greater London. Uniquely, this competition involves two selections from the entire body of work submitted and thus two contrasting exhibitions will be shown at the APT Gallery on Creekside, Deptford in May and June 2009. This year we are delighted to welcome Jenni Lomax and Mark Wallinger as our two Selectors. It is anticipated that the two exhibitions selected by Jenni Lomax (7 — 24 May 2009) and Mark Wallinger (4 — 21 June 2009) will demonstrate something of the range and diversity of contemporary visual art. All work submitted must have been made since June 2007 — the date of the last Creekside OPEN. Six selected artists, nominated by the Selectors will receive a cash prize at the launch of the Creekside OPEN exhibitions The deadline for submission is 28 February 2009 The application for is available from the Creekside Open website.
