COROLA is an experimental project made up of six canvasses by three well-known painters. The paintings have been worked on separately by the three artists, layering images on top of colour, obscuring what went before, trying to strike some kind of balance between egotism and shared objectives. The result is something called COROLA. Independent, self-assured objects with their own history behind them.
The three artists are represented by mainstream galleries, regularly showing their individual work internationally, curating and teaching. One of them graduated from Camberwell College of Arts ten years ago. However, this exhibition is more about experiencing the paintings in a gallery environment as opposed to knowing the names and biographical details of the artists behind the work.
