A selling exhibition of contemporary studio ceramics by some of the UK's most collected names and leading local artists.

About

Featuring the work of five artists: MOIRA GOODALL - now a Selected Member of the Craft Potters' Association (CPA) - creates contemporary vessels decorated by the ancient technique of smoke-firing. Her designs are inspired by The Blackwater Estuary and the natural beauty of its tidal coastline. We are proud to be exhibiting some of her latest firings. KATHARINA KLUG'S pots are individually thrown in porcelain on the potter’s wheel and then decorated by hand with spontaneous linear strokes or graphic patterns using her home-made wax crayons. She is a prominent member of the CPA, collected and exhibited internationally, and sponsored by the Arts Council England. Her latest work features the use of red wax crayons, following her recent study trip to Japan. We are also thrilled to exhibit for the first time, the work of celebrated artists, PAUL WEARING and HELEN RONDELL, both long-standing Selected Members of the CPA. Paul's pots feature in leading museum and public collections, and are instantly recognisable for their volcanic glazes and landscape qualities. Helen's raku-fired sculptural pieces are all hand-built, evolving into unique rounded forms which flow around openings, throw shadows and explore negative space. And last but certainly not least, we are delighted to welcome back DAVID MILLIDGE to the gallery. His fantastical figurative sculptures are guaranteed to widen your eyes and add some gloss to the show. We will be exhibiting some of his latest work, alongside pieces which are representative of his incredible output over the past few years.
